Christensen-Nugues, PhD, is Associate professor in history of ideas and sciences. Her dissertation, "And they should be one heart: The doctrine of consent in medieval canon law" (2003), concerned the marriage legislation in medieval canon law. Her current reasearch concerns different aspect of the theory of consent in the Middle Ages and the early modern period, with special focus on the impediment of force and fear. Christensen-Nugues participates as core scholar in the danish "Center for Privacy Studies" (KU), an interdisciplinary center of excellence dedicated to research on notions of privacy in Early Modern Europe.
