My research interests concern early modern art and visual culture, art sociology and anthropology, cultural transfer, visual media, material culture, emblematic, and numismatics in Scandinavia and Europe. I am particularly interested in how people used art and visual culture, how that changed over time and how these practices still affect us today.
In December 2021, I defended my PhD thesis, which analysed Swedish medals issued between 1560 and 1792. Previously, I studied art history and numismatics at Uppsala University and the University of Vienna.
I teach and supervise at the bachelor's and master's levels. I focus mostly on art and visual culture from 1400 to 1800, but I also have experience teaching contemporary architecture and design history.
