POPULÄR – Nordic Journal for Popular Culture Research
The main platform for the node is the electronic journal POPULÄR – Nordic Journal for Popular Culture Research. Except for publishing articles, the node also arranges seminars and other meetings around the journal. POPULÄR will have two issues published each year. It has an open access policy, and is accessible on the platform Open Journal Systems (OJS). The first articles were published during 2019.
In 2021, a thematic issue was made about popular culture and the pandemic.
The languages used are from the Nordic countries, and English. POPULÄR applies a peer-review system for the articles to be published. The editing board of the journal consists of scholars from The Department of Arts and Cultural Sciences, with backgrounds an competences ranging from comparative literature to ethnology, intermedia studies, and digital cultures – see contact information below.
