Popular Culture Research Node
The Popular Culture Studies Research Node has the ambition to gather scholars interested in studying different kinds of popular culture expressions, as for instance: TV, graphic novels, music videos, sports, gaming, film, fan cultures, media, popular literature, and much more. The concept of popular culture in itself is also to be problematized and discussed within the node’s framework. The node is focusing popular culture in a Nordic context, both popular culture from the Nordic countries, and representations and expressions of the Nordic in popular culture from other parts of the world. The node is based in the Department of Arts and Popular Culture, Lund University, but also strives for involving scholars from other departments and universities.
