Tanja Wiehn

In this research presentation, I will be talking about the emergence of synthetic data in current AI development. I will give an account of some of my current work on synthetic data, which is rooted in critical data and algorithm studies, combined with cultural theory. In the last part of the presentation, I will be diving into the  research project I submitted for the Wallenberg Foundation, Synthetic Data Cultures, to provide an outlook and trajectory of future research  on the topic.
